Pennsylvania Sheet Metal Workers Endorse Allyson Schwartz for Governor
Philadelphia, PA—Continuing the campaign’s momentum, the Pennsylvania State Council of Sheet Metal Workers today endorsed Allyson Schwartz’s campaign for Governor.
“I have been proud to stand with the Sheet Metal Workers for years as they have worked to preserve the right for workers to organize, provide for a fair, livable wage, and secure retirement options,” Allyson Schwartz said. “I am honored they will be standing with me as we work to change Harrisburg.”
“Of all the candidates running for Governor, Allyson Schwartz is far and away the most effective advocate for working families across the state of Pennsylvania,” said Warren Faust, Business Manager of Sheet Metal Workers Local 44 and Recording Secretary of the Pennsylvania State Council of Sheet Metal Workers.
“Allyson will be a great advocate for western Pennsylvania working families. She’ll be our kind of candidate and will make sure working men and women have access to quality jobs, health and disability benefits and a sound retirement options,” David Bernett, Business Manager of Sheet Metal Workers Local 12 said.
“We have known and worked with Allyson for years. There has been no better advocate for sheet metal workers and working men and women than Allyson Schwartz. So I know that as Governor, she will always protect the rights of workers to organize and fight for a fair livable wage and good benefits,” Gary Masino, President and Business Manager of Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 and President of the Pennsylvania State Council of Sheet Metal Workers.
Schwartz has previously accepted the endorsements of key labor unions including: United Mine Workers Association, United Steel Workers Local 10-1, Boilermakers Local 13 and PASNAP.
